The Continuum Series
Baseball has a story to tell, and the public deserves to hear it.
The Continuum Series is an ongoing collection of recorded conversations brought by guests that examines the hidden crisis of foul ball and bat injuries at professional baseball games. Created by Jordan Skopp, founder of Foul Ball Safety Now, the series brings together people from different fields to question what baseball has accepted for generations, what the evidence reveals, and what can be done to protect fans.
Each conversation is different. The recordings bring together concerned PhDs, lawyers, psychologists, filmmakers, journalists, academics, safety professionals, athletes, and other people with knowledge and experience that can help us understand this issue.Every guest brings questions from a different perspective, shaped by their own professional experience.
The conversations follow their own path. Jordan opens with a briefing on how Foul Ball Safety Now (FBSN) started, all things in seven years, and informative yet sometimes disturbing updates. Then the guests take the lead, asking Jordan questions and exploring the issues that interest them. This approach gives participants the freedom to challenge assumptions, raise new questions, and discover connections that may not have been apparent before the conversations began.
The result is a growing body of recorded knowledge that goes beyond any single profession or point of view. These are not scripted discussions with predetermined conclusions. They are opportunities for independent thinking, honest questioning, and an exchange of ideas. Together, the conversations help build a broader understanding of the risks fans face, the responsibilities of the baseball industry, and the changes that could make the game safer.
The response from participants speaks for itself. From more than 125 people that have taken part in this series, 98% have granted permission for their recordings to be released. Their willingness to share their knowledge and make these discussions public reflects the importance of examining this issue openly.
The Continuum Series is part of FBSN's larger effort to document the truth, challenge conventional thinking, and create a lasting record for the public, researchers, journalists, and future generations. It is an evolving project, with each conversation adding another perspective and opening the door to new questions.
The goal is to encourage understanding, accountability, and progress toward a future in which families can enjoy baseball with greater knowledge and confidence in their safety.
